These shanks offer an elegant solution for a common problem, as they are made so that they open and may be placed on the finger above the knuckle and are then closed into place. They fit the finger perfectly and there is no struggling to remove the ring over the knuckle. The shanks are made so that they can be easily opened with just a fingernail, but they do remain securely latched until they are intentionally opened.

The arthritic band may not be a solution for everyone as they are fairly expensive. However, you may choose to have a jeweller install them on your most cherished pieces so that you can continue to wear them.
